Have you already purchased one or more of the bundled items? If so the site automatically takes that amount off the bundle price and you should be able to purchase the remaining items for the additional discount. If not, I'll have to look into the matter further.

No, I've not purchased any of it as I couldn't figure out what exactly was for sale for $7. As it looked to me the entire bundle was for sale for $7 as it was described in the advertisement sent to my e-mail. But when I came to the website to purchase the $7 bundle, I couldn't find it listed. Instead I found confusing information about a larger bundle that indicated I would be SAVING $7.50 off a bundle, instead of being sold an entire bundle for $7.

Simply put, the e-mail advertisement and the website advertisement don't match.

I did not send any such email, it must have been one of the automatic notifications sent out by WGV. Why it gave misleading information I don't know, I'm as baffled as you are. I'll look into it tomorrow and get back to you with any explanation I receive. To be clear though, this bundle is not, was not and will not be available for $7.

My normal e-mail is tdchistorian@gmail.com Drop me a line and I'll forward the e-mail I received from the Wargame Vault. Yes, I suspect your description of the ad sent is apt. I suspect it may have been created by some automaton. You know Azimov wrote of such things being something of a nuisance to society, in fact he wrote of a coming society in which robots took all the jobs and people were left in poverty. But that's another story all together.

I've been very interested in the period of the British Raj, ever since I was 13 and read my first Flashman novel ... a long long time ago.

An increasingly likely story it seems.

I'm a huge fan of Flashman as well and am planning a re-read from start to finish as soon as I can find the time (and when I decide if I should read them in publication order or historical order).

I'll get back to you via email and look into the matter with WGV. I'm sorry for all the confusion and not being able to offer a more helpful response at this time.

Your bundle price of $7.50 doesn't seem to match the prices on this page. Nor does the bundle have any description of exactly what exists in the bundle. Are ALL of the titles on this page included with the bundle? Is the Bundle $7.50 or is that the savings from the overall price? The bundle price listed above isn't what was in the e-mail. The email said the BUNDLE was $7.50, but above it says the Bundle is $22.49.

This is all VERY confusing.

Will you stick by the price of $7.50 listed as the price of the Bundle in the advertised e-mail? Or is it really $22.49? I await anxiously as I'd love to have this bundle.

The bundle price is $22.49 as stated on the page above, that's a saving of $7.50 (25% off) on the total price of the three items if purchased individually. Briefly, the bundle includes The British In India (book) along with the related Photographic Collection and Map Collection. You can read opening information about each of those items above or click on each to read further details. I'm sorry for any confusion caused.

Scanned image
These products were created by scanning an original printed edition. Most older books are in scanned image format because original digital layout files never existed or were no longer available from the publisher.

For PDF download editions, each page has been run through Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software to attempt to decipher the printed text. The result of this OCR process is placed invisibly behind the picture of each scanned page, to allow for text searching. However, any text in a given book set on a graphical background or in handwritten fonts would most likely not be picked up by the OCR software, and is therefore not searchable. Also, a few larger books may be resampled to fit into the system, and may not have this searchable text background.

For printed books, we have performed high-resolution scans of an original hardcopy of the book. We essentially digitally re-master the book. Unfortunately, the resulting quality of these books is not as high. It's the problem of making a copy of a copy. The text is fine for reading, but illustration work starts to run dark, pixellating and/or losing shades of grey. Moiré patterns may develop in photos. We mark clearly which print titles come from scanned image books so that you can make an informed purchase decision about the quality of what you will receive.

Original electronic format
These ebooks were created from the original electronic layout files, and therefore are fully text searchable. Also, their file size tends to be smaller than scanned image books. Most newer books are in the original electronic format. Both download and print editions of such books should be high quality.
