Rural 1930's Gas Station 1/64th for 28mm figures

For my first paper building it was a good test of my skills or lack their of. I am not a gamer but was looking for something like this. The base layout would of been nice if it was a full print without the white area. Thanks, Doug

Haunted Garage

When I first saw this kit available as a download I was quite excited. I knew the kit would have some issues with gameplay, due to the strict adherence to scale, but thought it would still be cool to use with diecast cars. I was pleasantly surprised to find the textures were not simple vector drawings. However, the drawn part shapes do not match up with each other correctly, as the same part can be made up of five rectangles, as usual, but at certain points the mating edges are not the same length. The textures don't quite fit into the rectangles, either. There is also some spillover of colour and weathering on the image, in some places the weathering has noticably continued beyond the edge of the part. This is no real problem, as it is cut off anyway, however one must check twice that it is on the original file, rather than a sign that you should have replaced your magenta drum ten thousand pages ago. This could lead to spurious service calls. The real issue, however, is the use of the entire page, as far as can be gotten away with; right up to the edges of the printer margins. Most colour electrostatic engines cannot be adjusted closer to 4mm from the edge of the page, and little more for ink or bubble engines. Printing at full size will certainly cut off some of the parts, and not just the parts of the tabs where no-one can see, either: there is actual texture and shape of the visible parts missing. I know it may not be the most efficient use of paper, but parts pages should be organised such that nothing is lost when printing on metric paper sizes.

A fine design, but simply doesn't seem to have been completely developed.
